About Rhona Edwards, CBT Therapist

I nearly died during childbirth

It made me realise how short life is.  We only get one life and I am a strong believer that we should all do what we can to live it the best way we can; to make this one life worthwhile.

Life is too short to spend it stuck in a cycle, feeling anxious and not living your best life.

I'll help you to break those cycles and emerge feeling confident and in control.

You'll finally be able to do the things you want to do.

You'll become an assertive person and the boss of your own life.

I offer one to one Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for adults and teens struggling with social anxiety

Break the patterns of behaviour that have been keeping you stuck. Claim back your life rather than it controlling you. Don't waste another minute of your precious life worrying and feeling anxious.

You only get one life!

Support for Teens

I can help your teen to make vital changes, helping them, you as a parent, and the whole family.

Support for Adults

CBT therapy will help you to break limiting cycles and become the confident, assertive person you want to be.

My Story

I embarked on my journey to become a social worker in 2012. Lots of rigorous training and several qualifications later, I have seen things I never knew existed, been in situations I never thought possible, and listened to stories that would make your heart ache.

My work focuses on improving people's overall wellbeing, skilling people up to notice negative vicious cycles and learning how to break them.  After years of empowering people to live their best life, I realised that I could help people on a much wider scale.

I work in NHS mental health and part of my role is to assess referrals. During the Covid 19 Pandemic I saw for myself a huge spike in referrals. The amount of people whose difficulties precipitated from Covid 19 I find incredible.

I literally saw every anxious teen's prayers get answered when we went into lockdown, but then at the announcement of schools returning…Boom!!  The world was opening up, the anxiety came flooding back as they had to face their peers again and the fear became overwhelming for them.

I realised there was a bigger mission for me; to support young people and adults who are :

*Living in a permanent state of stress

*Focused on what people think of them

*Worried about about judgement from others

*Terrified of embarrassing themselves.

These people avoid scary situations wherever possible because it satisfies the uncomfortable feelings of anxiety.

I love to empower them to do the things they want to do and start being confident, assertive people, who are the boss of their own lives.   I knew that setting up my Resilience School and supporting socially anxious people to live their best life was what I was meant to do.
