About Rhona Edwards, CBT Therapist

A turning point changed how I see life and my work.

A serious medical complication during childbirth reshaped my perspective.
It reminded me how precious and finite life is and deepened my commitment to helping people live it well.

Anxiety can quietly shrink a life.
My work is about helping you expand it again.

I'll help you to break those cycles and emerge feeling confident and in control.

You'll finally be able to do the things you want to do.

You learn to respond intentionally rather than reactively.

I offer one to one Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for adults and teens struggling with anxiety

Break the patterns of behaviour that have been keeping you stuck. Claim back your life rather than it controlling you. Don't waste another minute of your precious life worrying and feeling anxious.

You only get one life!

Support for Teens

I can help your teen to make vital changes, helping them, you as a parent, and the whole family.

Support for Adults

CBT therapy will help you to break limiting cycles and become the confident, assertive person you want to be.

My Story

I trained as a social worker in 2012 and have since built my career within NHS mental health services, specialising in anxiety in children, teenagers, and adults.

Over the years, I have worked directly with families, delivered cognitive behavioural therapy, supervised clinicians, and contributed to the clinical leadership of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). My role involves shaping services, improving access to evidence-based interventions, and ensuring young people receive the right support at the right time.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I witnessed a sharp rise in anxiety particularly among young people. For some, lockdown reduced immediate pressures. But when the world reopened, many found themselves overwhelmed by the return to school, social expectations, and uncertainty.

It reinforced something I had already seen repeatedly:

Anxiety doesn’t disappear on its own. Avoidance brings short-term relief, but long-term restriction.

I became increasingly passionate about bridging the gap between waiting for support and accessing practical, effective tools. While the NHS provides invaluable care, demand often exceeds capacity. I wanted to create additional ways for people to access evidence-based strategies sooner, without replacing statutory services, but complementing them.

That’s why I founded Resilience School, to extend the reach of CBT-informed support beyond clinic walls.

My focus isn’t just on reducing symptoms.
It’s on helping people understand their patterns, build emotional resilience, and move towards a life that feels meaningful and manageable.

CBT helps teens understand their anxiety, build coping skills, and gradually face what feels overwhelming so confidence grows naturally through action.
